Respond to anger with virtue.

Deal with difficulties while they are still easy.

Handle the great while it is still small.

Some deep thought to start your week…

It is often easier to react negatively to negative situations in career or business as this allows us to feel instantly justified in our actions. Responding to anger is not an act of righteousness, rather it is one of fluidity where we don’t evolve into the negative situation(s) we are in.

Do without “doing.”

Get involved without manipulating.

Taste without tasting.

Make the great small,

The many, few.

Respond to anger with virtue.

Deal with difficulties while they are still easy.

Handle the great while it is still small.

The difficult problems in life

Always start off being simple.

Great affairs always start off being small.

Therefore the sage never deals with the great

And is able to actualize his greatness.

Now light words generate little belief,

Much ease turns into much difficulty.

Therefore the sage treats things as though they were difficult,

And hence, never has difficulty.

— Lao Tzu

Any situation you are in now, will pass according to how you react to it. There could be more difficult situations ahead, making the one you are in now much smaller. Without knowing that, we tend to view these problems as being greater than they really are. If we react with fluidity, we cannot evolve into our negative situation, but rather ease through it with grace and virtue. Once we do this, any problem ahead will also seem smaller and can thus lead us further into the path of our success.
